Komisarek to NY Islanders?

According to - Eklund's website, the Habs would trade him to NY Islanders that would free up some cap space to sign Dumont. It is not going to happen mark my words.

Flyers traped?

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, The Flyers have $40,114,640 committed toward this season's salary cap, which increased to $44 million from $39 million. That leaves them less than $5 million to sign Simon Gagne, who will get a deal that averages about $5.4 million, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. Would they trade Gagné or someone else to sign him to a long term deal.

Habs made contact with Dumont

According to the Habs have made an offer to J.P. Dumont. If he was going to sign in Montreal, the Habs are going to trade Radek Bonk to the Capitals, and by the way it is close to be completed. It also means that Ryder would be traded, because Dumont will not play on the 3rd line.

Greg Johnson signs with the Detroit Red Wings

Trevor Linden has re-sign a 1yr contract with the Canucks.

Anson Carter's deal should be finalize sooner rather than later.

Bonk out of Montreal?

According to Gabriel Morency of Team 990, the Montreal Canadiens are close to trade Radek Bonk to the Washington Capitals for a draft pick that would free up cap space to sign J.P. Dumont wich they reportedly offered a 4yr/10m$ contract. And to the same Morency again, coach Carbonneau is willing to let Markov and Ryder go for more offensive and defensive help. Just rumors but i will keep you posted on this one.

Malkin escapes Russia for Pittsburgh

Evgeni Malkin has left Russia, and is heading right-away to Pittsburgh where he is planning to sign his 3yr contract.

David Tanabe is close to get a contract from the Rangers.

Last night, I told you guys that Nik Antropov was going to be traded to a western conference team. I'm hearing that it could be the Chicago Blackhawks.

J.P. Dumont interest is intensifying from the NHL clubs. The Kings has made a contract offer. The Thrashers, Canadiens, Senators, Penguins, Canucks and Avalanche are interested in him. He could sign a contract this upcoming week.

Leafs about to trade a player and sign a player

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to sign Anson Carter to a 2yr/3million$ - 1.5m$ per season and they should trade in the next hours or days Nik Antropov to a western conference team. Those movements should be announce in the next hours or days.

Bell has a big offer

Bell Canada has offered a 10yr/1.4 billion$ deal to the NHL for CBC to present their Hockey Night in Canada.

Petr Sykora's contract is 1yr/2 to 3 million$. I bet it is 2.3 or 2.5M$

My sources are true

You guys see now, Sykora has signed a 1yr contract. Trems undisclosed. I will be here to inform you guys about the amount.

Sykora an Oiler

Petr Sykora has inked a 1yr contract. It should be announced soon. It is worth close to 3 million$.

J.P. Dumont is listening offers from LA, Atlanta, Boston, Ottawa and Columbus. Buffalo has made a 4yr/8.8million$. The Habs might not be interested. They want give more playing time to their young guys. But you never know what Bob Gainey has in his head. Remember Samsonov, nobody saw it comin'.

Martin Biron will be traded, as soon as the Sabres signs Ryan Miller. Los Angeles are the front-runners.

Sykora close to a deal

Petr Sykora is close to a contract with the Edmonton Oilers.
Brian Leetch is been looked at by the Devils, Bruins, Oilers and even Detroit.

I reported that the Habs were the front-runners in the case Dumont. But No! The Red Wings are the front-runners, the canadian team is Ottawa, do not forget that they traded Havlat without getting a forward in return. The Kings are involved.

Dumont to Montreal for real?

It is looking like the Habs have made an offer to J.P. Dumont a 2yr/4m$ contract. The Kings have shown an interest, the Thrashers, Senators, Maple Leafs if they can't sign Carter, Penguins and Vancouver Canucks have all shown interest. But the Habs are the front-runner, but was it means for the salary cap situation of Montreal. If they sign Dumont at 2 million$ they will pass the cap at 45m$. So that's why the names of Ryder, Souray and even the name of soon to be free agent next season, Markov is on the table now. Ryder and Markov could be dealt to San Jose for Patrick Marleau if they are not sure about the eye of Koivu. And Bonk still been shown interest from Washington.

The San Jose Sharks are pushing hard for Anson Carter. I doubt they will put him on the 3rd line. There 1st 2 lines are filled.

Brian Leetch and Petr Sykora are discussing deals with the Edmonton Oilers. And Alexei Mihkov has indicated to Yaroslav that he will sign a contract with the Oilers to play next season.

Carter could follow

Anson Carter is close to decide where he would sign with a team in the next couple of days. I posted that thing before in the last days.
So my rumors are true. Vancouver, Toronto and Detroit are in his final thoughts.

Legace gone from the market

He signed a 1yr/1.5 million$ contract with the St. Louis Blues

Habs wants to cut some salary

The Montreal Canadiens wants to cut some salary. They are close to the cap. They are at 42 million$. That's why the names of Aebischer, Souray, Ryder and Ribeiro including Bonk are on the rumor mills of everybody. The Blues are interested in Aebischer. The Ducks are interested in Souray and Ryder. Because they offered Vishnevski and a draft pick to Montreal for those guys. So i keep you posted.

Dumont a free agent

The Sabres has exercise their walk-away option like the Bruins in the Case of J.P. Dumont. He is now a free agent.
The Kings were interested in him before the walk away. So they will get after him fast. I bet that Montreal will show interest. He is a quebecer.
